The annual Literary Award Gala and Patrons Party were hosted the same weekend at the downtown Nashville Library. Two events in the same building designed to look cohesive, but for the guest experience to be very different from the Friday night Patrons Party to the Saturday night Gala. The building is a beautiful backdrop for the events each year, with the theme and decor designed around the author being honored with the Award. In 2022, the author was Louise Erdrich, a Native American author and friend of our Nashville bookstore owner - Parnassus Books - and author Ann Patchett.

This was my 7th year to be involved with planning and designing this event and the staff of the NPLF and the Library have become family.
